Arsenal says it opposes breakaway European league for elite (The Associated Press)

Arsenal says it opposes a European Super League after a meeting of leading English Premier League clubs sparked fresh talk of a breakaway by the elite. The meeting was organized by the company owned by Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross which runs a preseason competition in the United States for leading clubs. Arsenal says the clubs didn't use the meeting to push for changes to the Premier League or the creation of a European Super League.
