Giovinco has goal and assist; Toronto FC beats Red Bulls 2-0 (The Associated Press)
Sebastian Giovinco scored on a penalty kick and had an assist in the second half, and Toronto FC beat the New York Red Bulls 2-0 on Sunday in the MLS season openers for both teams. Toronto FC, which reached the postseason last season for the first time since the club's inception, beat the Red Bulls for the first time in seven matches at Red Bull Arena. Giovinco scored off a penalty kick in the 82nd minute before getting a yellow card six minutes later.
