Leeds forward banned for 8 games for biting opponent (The Associated Press)
A French forward for English club Leeds has been banned for eight matches for biting an opponent during a game in the second-tier League Championship. The English Football Association said Thursday that Souleymane Doukara was given the long ban because of the ''seriousness and both unusual and violent nature of the misconduct.'' Doukara had denied a charge of violent conduct. Fulham defender Fernando Amorebieta was the victim of the bite and was booked for his reaction.
