Olympic Stadium capacity rises to 60,000 for West Ham (The Associated Press)
West Ham's new home from next season will seat 60,000 fans after the capacity for soccer at London's Olympic Stadium was increased following strong demand for season tickets. The Premier League club says an additional 6,000 seats will now be available on match days in the east London stadium which has been reconfigured since the 2012 Olympics while retaining track and field facilities. West Ham signed a 99-year lease for the Olympic Stadium with the 2012 Games legacy body.
