Predators GM calls Vesey's plan to try free agency 'bizarre' (Yahoo Sports)
Jimmy Vesey plans to test free agency rather than sign with the Nashville Predators and play immediately, though general manager David Poile says he isn't giving up hope of signing the forward selected in the 2012 draft. Poile said it was a bizarre and shocking situation when he spoke with reporters during the second intermission of Nashville's game with Colorado on Monday night. The Predators have been talking with Vesey, expecting the forward to join them once his collegiate career ended with Harvard's loss on Friday.
