Andre Schuerrle scored to send Wolfsburg to the quarterfinals of the Champions League for the first time on Tuesday with a 1-0 win at home over Belgian champion Gent. Julian Draxler easily skipped past a defender and crossed for his fellow Germany international to seal Wolfsburg's 4-2 aggregate victory in the 74th minute. The German side, which has been inconsistent in the Bundesliga this season, should have been in a commanding position after leading the first leg 3-0, but conceded two late goals to revive Gent's hopes.
