Slavin, Skinner help Carolina beat Ottawa 4-3 in shootout (Yahoo Sports)

Rookie Jaccob Slavin scored in the fourth round of the shootout, and the Carolina Hurricanes beat the Ottawa Senators 4-3 on Tuesday night. Jeff Skinner scored twice for Carolina, including one with 0.2 seconds remaining to force overtime, and Jay McClement had a short-handed goal. Cam Ward made 21 saves for the Hurricanes, who won a shootout for the first time this season.
