Sunderland-Southampton Preview (The Associated Press)
A week that will live long in the memory of everyone associated with Sunderland for all the wrong reasons concludes with a visit to Southampton on Saturday. After beating Manchester United on Feb. 13, the Black Cats failed to win either of their next two Premier League matches, losing 1-0 against West Ham United and grabbing a last-gasp 2-2 midweek draw with Crystal Palace. Results elsewhere, primarily consecutive losses by Norwich City and Newcastle United, meant that the point against Palace on Tuesday hoisted Sunderland (6-6-16) out of the relegation zone for the first time this year.
