Earthquakes-Union Preview (The Associated Press)
Chris Wondolowski's continued high-level play and C.J. Sapong's emergence as a dangerous scorer have made the San Jose Earthquakes and Philadelphia Union among MLS' early season surprises. The American strikers go head-to-head Saturday in Philadelphia, where the improved Union attempt to secure a sixth consecutive home win. Philadelphia (4-3-0) enters leading the Eastern Conference in points per game (1.71) after finishing near the bottom of the standings in 2015.
