Alashe's late goal helps Earthquakes to 1-1 tie with Galaxy (The Associated Press)
Fatai Alashe scored late to help the San Jose Earthquakes tie the Los Angeles Galaxy 1-1 on Sunday. Alashe slashed toward the top of the 6-yard box and his header, off Chad Barrett's cross, found the back of the net in the 87th minute. Los Angeles took the lead just moments earlier when San Jose's Marvell Wynne, attempting to clear a cross from Sebastian Lletget, scored an own goal.
