The Arizona Coyotes have made John Chayka the youngest general manager in NHL history and restructured their front office. The 26-year-old Chayka was introduced as Arizona's next general manager on Thursday after serving one season as assistant GM to Don Maloney, who was fired in April after nine seasons. Coach Dave Tippett also signed a five-year contract extension and will have added responsibilities in personnel decisions as executive vice president of hockey operations.
