Dempsey, Morris score, Sounders beat Earthquakes, 2-0 (The Associated Press)
Clint Dempsey rocketed in a shot from straight in front of the goal in the 26th minute, Jordan Morris scored for the fourth straight game and the Seattle Sounders beat the San Jose Earthquakes 2-0 on Saturday night. Morris scored from the top of the penalty area restraining arc in the 89th minute. The Sounders (4-4-1) have points in five of their last six games (4-1-1).
