FIFA official: CONCACAF's $10 million funding released (The Associated Press)
A FIFA executive says funding to the scandal-hit North American soccer confederation is being unfrozen. FIFA halted payments to CONCACAF as well as the South American body CONMEBOL while seeking greater assurances about how money was being spent in the confederations. Now Fernando Sarney, a FIFA Council member from Brazil, says the governing body has agreed to release CONCACAF's $10 million.
