General Manager Garth Snow said the New York Islanders ''just weren't good enough'' in their second-round series against the Tampa Bay Lightning, and he is focused on helping the team improve in the offseason. ''We lost to the better team,'' Snow said Thursday on a conference call with reporters. The Islanders just completed a successful first season in Brooklyn's Barclays Center after spending the franchise's first 43 years at Long Island's Nassau Coliseum.
