Lucescu leaves Shakhtar after 12 years with win in cup final (The Associated Press)
Shakhtar Donetsk won the Ukrainian Cup with a 2-0 victory over Zorya Luhansk on Saturday in the last game for longtime Shakhtar coach Mircea Lucescu. Striker Oleksandr Hladkiy scored both goals in the final which marked the end of 12 years in charge for Lucescu, who won the UEFA Cup in 2009 and eight Ukrainian league titles and six Ukrainian Cups. Lucescu's spell also included Shakhtar being forced to leave its home city of Donetsk in eastern Ukraine in 2014 amid a takeover by Russian-backed separatists.
