Zinedine Zidane's side advanced to the Champions League final at the expense of Manchester City with a 1-0 second leg victory at the Santiago Bernabeu, before defeating Valencia 3-2 in the Spanish league to maintain its title charge. ''The Champions League semifinal second leg against Manchester City was a dour one but Real Madrid was in control as they booked its ticket to the final in Milan,'' Umaid Wasim of Dawn newspaper in Pakistan said.
