Dynamo-Timbers preview (The Associated Press)
Two teams looking to turn things around in the second half of the season collide Sunday when the Portland Timbers host the Houston Dynamo at Providence Park. The Timbers (5-6-5) have not backed up their MLS Cup championship with a strong showing during the first half of the 2016 season. Injuries and offseason turnover took a toll, and nearing the midway point, the defending champions find themselves just below the red line in the Western Conference with 20 points.
