Germany waiting on Boateng's fitness ahead of Slovakia game (The Associated Press)

EVIAN-LES-BAINS, France (AP) -- With fitness worries over central defender Jerome Boateng, Germany coach Joachim Loew gave his players the day off Thursday. It starts with the round of 16 game against Slovakia in Lille on Sunday. ''The medical team and Jerome are working hard on it.
