SAINT-ETIENNE, France (AP) -- With his team 2-0 down and overwhelmed by a spirited Croatia side, Czech Republic coach Pavel Vrba was left scratching his head for solutions. Constantly exposed to Croatia's forays down the wings in Friday's match at the European Championship, his players had not managed a single shot on goal in the entire first half and were lucky not to be even further behind. ''At halftime, I told the players that if they don't want to play football, we have no place here,'' Vrba said after his team staged a remarkable comeback to salvage a 2-2 draw.
