Saint-Etienne fan zone under strike threat (The Associated Press)
SAINT-ETIENNE, France (AP) -- Municipal workers in the French city of Saint-Etienne have delayed the final preparations for the local fan zone, which could remain closed for the opening game of the European Championship. The city's press office says a ''small minority'' of workers contesting planned labor law reforms is blocking access to a technical center where furniture needed in the fan zone is stored. The fan zone in Saint-Etienne is set to open Friday, hours before France takes on Romania at the Stade de France.
