Tournaments' 2nd games proving troublesome for Germany (The Associated Press)

SAINT-DENIS, France (AP) -- Only once in five tournaments under coach Joachim Loew has Germany started with two consecutive victories, with Thursday's goalless draw against Poland at the European Championship being the latest in an unwanted sequence. Loew has won all his opening games without conceding a goal, but the follow-ups have generally been disappointing. A 2-1 win over a poor Netherlands side at Euro 2012 was the only exception.
