Giggs' memorable moments at Manchester United (The Associated Press)

FILE - This is a Saturday Jan. 22, 2011 file photo of Manchester United's Ryan Giggs, as he races past Birmingham's Roger Johnson, right, during their English Premier League soccer match at Old Trafford Stadium, Manchester, England. Ryan Giggs Friday July 1, 2016 ended his 29-year association with Manchester United, leaving the coaching staff at the fallen Premier League powers at the start of Jose Mourinhos reign. The 42-year-old Giggs joined United in 1987 as a 14-year-old went on to play a record 963 times for the first team, mostly under Alex Ferguson. (AP Photo/Jon Super, File)

Giggs got the slightest of touches on Brian McClair's right-wing cross, and the ball deflected off City defender Colin Hendry and ricocheted into the net - but the goal was given to Giggs. It clinched a 1-0 win and was the first of Giggs' 168 goals for United.
