Ulloa's long-distance goal gives FC Dallas 1-1 tie at Rapids (The Associated Press)
Victor Ulloa scored the tying goal on a long-distance shot and FC Dallas held on for a 1-1 draw with the Colorado Rapids on Saturday night in a matchup of the top two teams in the overall MLS standings. FC Dallas (12-6-5) maintained its three-point lead over Colorado (10-2-8) in the Supporters' Shield race, while the Rapids stayed undefeated at home at 8-0-3. Ulloa gathered a deflected clearance in an open space about 30 yards from goal and drilled a right-footed shot that curled away from goalkeeper Tim Howard and into the upper right corner of the goal.
