Manchester City 3, West Ham United 1 (The Associated Press)
A brace from Raheem Sterling and a header from Fernandinho saw Manchester City maintain their perfect start to the season with a 3-1 victory over West Ham at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday. Pep Guardiola's side started brilliantly and opened the scoring inside 10 minutes when an incisive through ball from David Silva saw Gael Clichy get to the byline. The fullback's pull-back was then easily struck by Sterling to give the Citizens (3-0-0) the lead and it was soon to become two.
