Sunderland and Bournemouth reach League Cup third round (The Associated Press)
LONDON (AP) -- Sunderland needed a late winner from on-loan Manchester United midfielder Adnan Januzaj to beat third-tier Shrewsbury 1-0, while Bournemouth settled for a 2-1 win at fourth division Morecambe in the second round of the League Cup on Wednesday.
