Tactical shift, comeback and collector's item lift Everton (The Associated Press)
Gareth Barry's first goal in over 2 1/2 years secured Everton three points in a stirring 2-1 comeback victory at West Brom on Saturday. The home side dominated the early exchanges and deserved their lead when Gareth McAuley muscled his way onto the end of a Craig Gardner corner, which Maarten Stekelenburg had conceded after making a top-notch save from Salomon Rondon. Everton looked short up front without a recognised striker, and Ronald Koeman decided to address this by introducing Romelu Lukaku mid-way through the first half for an unhappy-looking James McCarthy.
