Woman in Munich gets 4 ½ years for Oktoberfest slur stabbing (The Associated Press)

A woman in Germany has been convicted of attempted manslaughter for stabbing a man at Munich's Oktoberfest after he uttered a racial slur at a former soccer player with whom she was attending the beer festival. The Munich state court said the 34-year-old defendant - a Hamburg millionaire's fiancee - also was convicted Wednesday of causing bodily harm. The stabbing happened in September after a truck driver allegedly used the slur against former Germany player Patrick Owomoyela and threatened the woman.
