Chadli scores twice, West Brom hold off West Ham (The Associated Press)
Nacer Chadli netted on either side of the intermission Saturday as West Bromwich Albion posted the surprise result of the day, earning a 4-2 victory over West Ham United on an exciting afternoon at The Hawthorns. Both clubs came into the match struggling for early season form, but it was the hosts that got an early break as referee Mark Clattenburg whistled Arthur Masuaku for an ill-advised handball in the box, giving a penalty to West Brom after just eight minutes. Chadli, the club's record signing, stepped up and slotted it past West Ham goalkeeper Adrian with a cool finish to put the home side in front.
