Crystal Palace, Everton play to 1-all draw (The Associated Press)
Everton and Crystal Palace shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw at Goodison Park on Friday after Romelu Lukaku saw his first-half free-kick cancelled out by a header from Christian Benteke. Both sides started the game brightly, but it was Ronald Koeman's side who took the lead at 35 minutes via Lukaku's superb free-kick. The visitors were level early in the second half as an excellent cross from Joel Ward was met with a towering header from Benteke, who sent the ball into the bottom corner of the net.
