Galaxy-Sporting Kansas City preview (The Associated Press)
With the regular season winding down, two clubs above the red line in the Western Conference look to improve their playoff standing as Sporting Kansas City hosts the LA Galaxy on Sunday afternoon at Children's Mercy Park. Sixth-place Sporting Kansas City (11-12-6, 39 points) will look to put more distance between itself and seventh-place Seattle Sounders, who stand four points behind. Meanwhile, the Galaxy (11-4-14, 47 points) hopes to make up distance behind FC Dallas, which they trail by five points in the race for the Supporters Shield.
