Mainz beats Augsburg 3-1 for its 1st Bundesliga win (The Associated Press)
Japan forward Yoshinori Muto scored to seal Mainz's first Bundesliga win of the season, beating Augsburg 3-1 on Sunday. Mainz forward Jhon Cordoba opened the scoring with a header off a corner in the seventh minute but it was the second half before the home side threatened a response. Koo Ja-cheol forced Mainz 'keeper Jonas Lossl to save his volley, Lossl also denied Martin Hinteregger, and Dominik Kohr fired over.
