Red-hot Altidore looks to lead Toronto FC past Union (The Associated Press)
As if Toronto FC wasn't dangerous enough, it enters Saturday's home match against the Philadelphia Union with forward Jozy Altidore in exceptional form. Following his late July return from a hamstring injury, the 26-year-old U.S. international star has scored seven goals in his last seven matches, including a pair in Toronto's 3-3 draw with the New York Red Bulls Sunday. "He's just proving what we all knew about him before this stretch," Toronto coach Greg Vanney told The Toronto Sun after Altidore's goals helped the Reds hold onto the Eastern Conference lead entering this weekend.
