Saul Niguez scored late in the first half Tuesday as last season's losing Champions League finalist Atletico Madrid opened this season's campaign with a tense 1-0 win at PSV Eindhoven. The match in Eindhoven was a repeat of last year's Champions League round of 16 clash that Atletico won on penalties in Madrid after both legs ended 0-0. Luuk de Jong looked to have given his team the lead in the fifth minute but referee Martin Atkinson disallowed the PSV captain's headed effort.
