Slimani's double lifts Leicester past Burnley (The Associated Press)
The King Power Stadium saw a well-contested first half, but two Islam Slimani goals - one on each side of the break - followed by a late own-goal from Ben Mee secured a 3-0 win for Leicester against Burnley on Saturday afternoon. Christian Fuchs, who was one of the hosts' key threats throughout, crossed for Slimani on the stroke of half time, the Algerian powering a header past Tom Heaton for his first goal in a Foxes shirt. Only a couple of minutes after the restart, Slimani has a second goal on his Premier League debut, bundling home Jamie Vardy's flick-on after Riyad Mahrez had picked him out with a brilliant cross.
