Stanislas’ rocket powers Bournemouth past Everton (The Associated Press)
Junior Stanislas' first-half strike proved to be the difference on Saturday as Bournemouth collected three points with an impressive 1-0 victory over high-flying Everton at Vitality Stadium. Through the first four matches of the season, Eddie Howe's Bournemouth has struggled with just one win, and they needed a bounce-back performance following last week's 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Manchester City. Everton has been the surprise package early in the season, but it was Bournemouth that had the better start, keeping the ball and getting into the final third before taking the lead in the 23rd minute.
