Union look for edge against Red Bulls (The Associated Press)
Tranquillo Barnetta might shake off a minor knee injury in time for the Philadelphia Union's match at the New York Red Bulls on Saturday. A day later, Union coach Jim Curtain told the Philadelphia Inquirer he hoped Barnetta "will play a role in the game" against New York after missing last week's 1-1 draw at Toronto. "He's the best player that ever wore a Philadelphia Union jersey, in my opinion," Curtin told mlssoccer.com.
