Unsigned players at World Cup assume risks, embrace chance (Yahoo Sports)

Every day over the summer, Johnny Gaudreau thought about not having a contract. Gaudreau worried about it and obsessed over it but he wasn't going to let stalled negotiations with the Calgary Flames keep him from playing in the World Cup of Hockey. ''You don't get many chances to play in the World Cup,'' Gaudreau said.
