Boro blank Bournemouth for first home victory (The Associated Press)
Gaston Ramirez and Stewart Downing each scored as Middlesbrough recorded their first home win of the season, 2-0 over Bournemouth on Saturday. Middlesbrough (2-4-4) started well and looked comfortable in possession, but as they have done for most of the campaign, failed to look dangerous in the final third. Bournemouth (3-3-4) grew into the game before coming close to taking the lead on two occasions.
