Unbeaten Hoffenheim defeated high-flying Hertha Berlin 1-0 to go third in the Bundesliga and match its club record of five straight league wins on Sunday. Niklas Suele scored with a powerful header from Kerem Demirbay's free kick after a period of Hoffenheim pressure around the half-hour mark. Lukas Rupp had been thwarted by Hertha goalkeeper Rune Jarstein with the first big chance before Pavel Kaderabek's header hit the crossbar.
