West Brom draws Sunderland on late goal (The Associated Press)
Patrick van Aanholt's late goal cancelled out Nacer Chadli's opener as Sunderland and West Brom played out an entertaining draw at the Stadium of Light on Saturday afternoon. The hosts started positively and should have taken the lead when Jermain Defoe was sent clean through on goal, but he missed his one-on-one opportunity and things steadily went downhill for the Black Cats. The visitors started to dominate the game towards the back end of the first period and took the lead when Matt Phillips' through ball was controlled brilliantly by Chadli, who went on to slot into the bottom corner to give the Baggies a half time lead.
