Borussia Dortmund beat Sporting 1-0 on Wednesday to advance to the knockout stage of the Champions League despite leaving top striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang out of the team. Wearing a stylish coat and a fedora hat, Aubameyang watched from the stands and saw his backup, Adrian Ramos, score the only goal in the 12th minute. Dortmund coach Thomas Tuchel said Gabon striker Aubameyang was left out for ''internal reasons,'' adding that ''internal is internal,'' refusing to give details.
