It's been an up-and-down first season at the helm of Southampton for manager Claude Puel. The former Ligue 1 boss, who guided Nice to a Champions League berth last season, has come to realise how challenging it can be to achieve consistent results in the Premier League. After failing to win any of their four opening fixtures, the Saints rallied with two consecutive clean-sheet victories, which spurred a five-match unbeaten run from mid-September through mid-October.
