FC Dallas faces uphill climb to advance past Seattle (The Associated Press)

FC Dallas has spent the majority of the 2016 campaign atop MLS the league, winning the Supporters' Shield for the league's best record on the final day of the regular season and capturing the US Open Cup that signifies the best soccer team -- regardless of level -- in the United States. After a scoreless first half at CenturyLink Field in Seattle, the Sounders FC netted three goals in the first 13 minutes after intermission. FC Dallas never responded.
