Liverpool, Southampton play to scoreless tie (The Associated Press)
Southampton and Liverpool shared the spoils at St Mary's after a frustrating Saturday contest for the visitors ended in a scoreless draw. The result ended a three-game Premier League winning streak for Liverpool (8-3-1), who sit tied atop the table with Manchester City and are unbeaten in 13 straight games over all competitions. Liverpool's Sadio Mane was the best player on the pitch in the first half, and he must have thought he'd scored on 28 minutes when he fired a shot towards the top corner.
