Sunderland tops Bournemouth for first victory (The Associated Press)
Bournemouth went down 2-1 at home to 10-man Sunderland on Saturday, as a converted penalty from Jermain Defoe in the 74th minute sealed the first win of the season for David Moyes' side. Sunderland (1-2-8) are the last Premier League team to earn a victory, but currently sit tied for last in the table with Swansea City. Bournemouth (3-3-5) started the game well and were in front on 11 minutes when Dan Gosling finished off a neat move from close range.
