Ramirez goal seals win for Middlesbrough (The Associated Press)

Middlesbrough overcame Hull City in an English Premier League relegation battle with a 1-0 win Monday thanks to a second-half header from Gaston Ramirez at Riverside Stadium. Alvaro Negredo had a great chance early on, but he blazed his shot over the bar after a neat pass from Marten De Roon. Adam Forshaw then hit a shot from the edge of the area which David Marshall did well to turn around the post.
