Rodriguez's late goal seals Southampton's 3-1 win (The Associated Press)
Jay Rodriguez put the icing on the cake on Sunday with an 85th-minute wonder goal as Southampton came from behind to beat Bournemouth 3-1 at the Vitality Stadium. As the final whistle approached the Cherries were still threatening, but their hopes were finally extinguished by Rodriguez. Nathan Redmond rode two challenges to get the ball to the striker on the edge of the penalty area, and he showed no hesitation with a stunning half-volley that dipped over Artur Boruc and into the top corner.
