Devils to honor former owner McMullen on Friday (Yahoo Sports)
John McMullen, who brought NHL hockey to New Jersey in 1982, will be the first inductee in the Devils' Ring of Honor. The Devils will hold a pregame ceremony at Prudential Center on Friday night before their game against the Toronto Maple Leafs. ''As we approach the 35th anniversary of the New Jersey Devils, it is fitting to celebrate Dr. McMullen's vision, leadership and compassion, which set the foundation for three Stanley Cup championships,'' said Hugh Weber, the team's president.
