Group seeking San Diego MLS team gathers signatures (The Associated Press)
A group hoping to attract an MLS team to San Diego says it has gathered more than 100,000 signatures on a petition in just two weeks. If 71,646 signatures are verified by the Registrar of Voters, the proposal will be brought before the City Council to either approve the project or submit it to voters. The bid is part of a $1 billion development project at the Qualcomm Stadium site.
