Bayern's Rummenigge 'not pessimistic' before trip to Madrid (The Associated Press)
Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is optimistic that defenders Mats Hummels and Jerome Boateng will be able to overcome injuries in time to face Real Madrid in the return leg of their Champions League quarterfinal on Tuesday. Bayern, which needs to overturn a 2-1 defeat from last Wednesday's first leg in Munich, is confident Robert Lewandowski will be able to play after the Poland striker took a full part in training on Sunday. Hummels suffered an ankle injury in training the previous Sunday, while Boateng was also rested for Saturday's scoreless draw at Bayer Leverkusen due to a thigh problem.
